Accessibility, privacy, and using Gout Life
Prepared 2026-10-29 · Read as Markdown
You should be able to understand how a health resource works before sharing information with it. Here is how the site’s reading tools and optional browser records work.
Accessible information
The site uses readable text, meaningful headings, keyboard navigation, visible focus, and descriptive links. Informative images have text alternatives. Large tables scroll on smaller screens, and the food reference is available to download. These features do not establish conformance with an accessibility standard.
Symptom information and records
You do not need an account to read the guides. Symptom-guide answers remain in the open page and are not submitted. Search and food filtering run in your browser.
The tracker keeps entries in the open page by default. You can choose to save them in this browser on this device. Other people using the same browser may be able to read saved records. Disabling saving removes the browser copy; downloaded files remain wherever you saved them. The tracker also lets you delete entries and import or export a record.
Before collecting or storing personal information, the publisher must explain what is collected, why, where it goes, retention, security, relevant legal basis, and user controls, including deletion where applicable.
Site analytics
Gout Life uses Google Analytics (G-73VKD7HQEX) to understand page visits and general use of the site. Google Analytics can use cookies and receives technical information about visits. Our tracking code does not attach symptom answers, search text or tracker records to analytics events. It removes query strings and fragments from the page address sent in configuration and disables Google Signals and advertising personalization signals.
Read Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s data handling. Analytics is not a place to store or share personal health information.
External media and links
External links take you to another organization’s website, where its privacy practices and terms apply. Videos are provided as optional external links. Another organization’s terms do not become this site’s terms merely because its content is linked.
Educational scope and legal details
Gout Life provides general educational information. It cannot establish a diagnosis or choose individual treatment. Talk with a qualified healthcare professional about symptoms, medicines, and treatment decisions. For an emergency, use your local emergency service. Third-party materials retain their respective rights.
